2024 is shaping up to be another year of sharpened focus in CFO circles on tech-related topics such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
According to FTI Consulting, the AI landscape is “set to evolve significantly in 2024 from its state in 2023,” which was labeled the “Year of AI.” Amid a rapid influx of AI innovations, CFOs face the challenge of discovering how the emerging technology can deliver a competitive edge for their organizations, as they also grapple with the risks of adoption including regulatory uncertainty.
Meanwhile, CFOs are also under heightened pressure on the cybersecurity front, and the trend is only expected to pick up in 2024 thanks to new rules at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
