Schneider National has named Darrell Campbell its next EVP and CFO, the trucking company announced Wednesday.
Campbell most recently served as group vice president of strategy and finance for JM Family Enterprises, a Florida-based automotive services company.
He starts his new role at Schneider on Sept. 30. Campbell will take the financial reins from Steve Bruffett, who announced his retirement in May but is staying on until the end of the year to assist with the transition, the company said.
Campbell will oversee Schneider’s financial strategies, planning and reporting, as well as all finance operations and investor relations. While at JM Family Enterprises, Campbell was responsible for enterprise strategy, strategic planning, treasury and tax activities.
His other experiences include serving as CFO of Carnival Cruse Line and corporate treasurer for Carnival Corp. Campbell also worked as a partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he led financial statement and internal control audits across multiple industries.
A regulatory filing shows Campbell, in addition to long-term equity compensation, will earn an annual base salary of $525,000 and be eligible for an annual cash incentive of up to $415,000.
His prorated stock compensation in 2023 will transition him into a long-term equity incentive award of restricted stock worth an estimated $304,000 and performance-based restricted stock worth $456,000.
He’ll also receive a one-time appointment bonus of $375,000 and relocation benefits, according to the filing.
